Ocotillo Wells is a 50 MW facility in San Diego county, California

Ocotillo Wells is a 66 MW DC solar facility in San Diego county, California with 200 MWhrs of battery storage with a 4 hour duration. VC Renewables was part the project’s life cycle from early-stage acquisition through construction to the operation and management of the asset.

 

 

The project represents an equivalent cut of 65,000 MT of CO2 emissions a year.

The solar project was launched in the summer of 2023.  The project is part of VC Renewable’s offering to corporates, enabling companies to source reliable, renewable energy.

Headquartered in California, Meta (parent company of Facebook) is one of VC Renewable’s customers, entering into an agreement to be provided with renewables energy from Ocotillo Wells, in support of Meta’s operations in the region.
